REGULATIONS

 

VILLA TYPE

All of the villas/apartments are furnished with equipped kitchen or kitchenette (dishes, saucepans, fridge).  Television, washing machine, dishwasher when available are indicated in the description. It is to be taken in account that the villas/apartments belong to private owners therefore they have different characteristics among them.  It is requested then, that those who have specific requirements make them clear at the moment of booking.  Pets are generally not allowed, in some apartments they are allowed only upon specific request and confirmation by the owner.  There may be an extra to be paid upon arrival.

Additional beds are to be considered as emergency beds, so they are not as comfortable due to layout or lack of beds (ex. Sofa bed, in general located in the lounge).

The rental prices are understood per apartment and per week and generally do not include: water, light and gas consumptions, except in the cases where it is indicated.  It is never included in the price: power consumptions if there is an air-conditioning in the villa/apartment, linen rental (if necessary), final cleaning charges and any other extra specified in the villa/apartment’s description. All the above mentioned charges, except the rent, have to be paid on arrival.

 

WHERE AND HOW TO BOOK

The booking can be made calling our office or sending a request via e-mail or through our web site, to the moment of exhaustion of availability.

 

LENGHT OF STAY

The minimum lenght is of 7 days.  In July and August it is possible to book only with arrival and departure on Saturday.

 

PAYMENT METHOD 

A down payment (confirmation) needs to be done after the booking request equal to the 30% of the rental price.

The balance is to be paid upon arrival or 30 days previous the arrival date, such as indicated in the booking confirmation.

The down payment means the acceptance of all of the items written within these Regulations.

 

BOOKING CONFIRMATION

The booking is subject to confirmation of availability on the part of the owner.  The confirmation will be sent the following working day and will have the details as regards the payment method.  The down payment (30% of the rental price) has to be done within 3 days from the booking confirmation if not previously done at the moment of booking request.

 

VOUCHER, ITINERARY AND APPOINTMENT

Upon reception of balance payment we will supply the prepaid voucher and the directions to meet the owner and how to arrive to the villa/apartment.

The tourist needs to let Explore Sardinia know, before the arrival date, the place, date and time of arrival in Sardinia (if this is the same as the date of beginning of the rental) and a cell phone number that will be used in Sardinia. All of these is necessary to organize the appointment with the owner.

 

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

The rental usually starts on Saturday (afternoon from 17,00 to 20,00) and finishes on Saturday (between 8,00 and 10:00).

Any modification to the arrival and departure time has to be previouly agreed with the owner and is subject to his/her acceptance. It is requested to respect the arrival and departure schedule in order to avoid an extra charge as compensation to the owner.  No reimbursement is expected in the case the departure is anticipated or the arrival is postponed.

 

NUMBER OF PEOPLE

The number of people authorized to stay in the apartment/villa shall not exceed the amount of beds stated in the booking confirmation or in the voucher.

 

SECURITY DEPOSIT UPON ARRIVAL

The tourist shall pay upon arrival the security deposit by cash and receive a receipt.  The whole amount will be returned upon departure except any deduction for eventual damages.  Upon arrival, the tenant shall present an acknowledgment document and write down with copy the conditions of the villa/apartment.

 

CLEANING

All the villas/apartments are consigned cleaned and ordered and the final cleaning is not included in the rental price.

In any case the tenant will return the villa/apartment in a condition to be cleaned within a couple of hours.

Example:

- The tenant shall not leave an untidy kitchen, with dishes, sink and kitchen appliances dirty and he/she shall place them in their position inside the cupboards,

- The tenant shall not leave the bathroom appliances and services dirty,

- The tenant shall not leave rubbish, even if inside containers or bags.

The owner or a representative has access to the propriety in order to make all necessary maintenance jobs (garden, swimming pool, etc) previous notice and appointment.

 

COMPLAINTS

The villas/apartments, selected according to functionality and good taste criteria, are described in the web site with responsibility and in good faith according to the owner’s statement.  If, exceptionally, the villa/apartment has gone through unnotified modifications Explore Sardinia refuses any kind of responsibility but assures a quick intervention in order to find the best solution.  Complaints should come to our office in written within 24 hours from the arrival date (that is to say the morning of the first working day after the arrival date), transmitting the issue.  The complaints sent outside the limits of the abovementioned terms will not be taken into consideration.

 

CANCELLATION ON THE TOURIST’S SIDE

In case of cancellation to the rental the payment already done will be retained as penalty.

If the booking shall go through an agency, then the regulations of the agency shall be applied.

 

CANCELLATION ON THE OWNER’S SIDE

If due to force majeure, independent from our will, it is not possible to give the tourist the villa/apartment selected, Explore Sardinia has the right to assign another villa/apartment with similar characteristics or as last option cancell the booking with the reimbursement of the whole payment received and with no other demand on the tourist’s side. Explore Sardinia also has the right to cancel, to its exclusive judgement, each and every current attempt due to causes (war, strikes, etc) independent of its will with a full reimbursement to the client with no other demand on the tourist’s side (refer to art 1385 from Cod. Civ.) Also, Explore Sardinia will have the right to retain an amount (such as a fee) of not over 10% of the Down payment done by the tourist.

 

RESPOSABILITY

No responsibility involves Explore Sardinia in its role as introducer of the owner’s offer on the web. Each  head of family (or adult of the group) is considered responsible of the security and behaviour of minors or family in the rented villa/apartment and in the common spaces.

 

TENANT

The rental is settled by Explore Sardinia in the name and on behalf of the owner or administrator of the villa/apartment exclusively for tourist reasons and with the prices indicated in the web site. Explore Sardinia has a written authorization signed by the owner to introduce the villa/apartment in the web, to receive booking requests, and to organize the appointment with the person who will receive the tourists upon arrival.

 

LAW CORTS

For any eventual dispute refer to the Law Courts in Cagliari.
